Piedmont Center, managed by Cushman & Wakefield, received the 2024 Excellence in Tenant Care Award from CRE Insight Journal. The award recognizes a building for excellence in tenant care, including health and wellbeing, communications, tenant engagement, and/or other activities that express care for building tenants.

Piedmont Center, located in the Buckhead submarket of Atlanta, Georgia, includes 2.2 million square feet of commercial space in 14 mid-rise and high-rise buildings. The campus is owned by the Ardent Companies, an Atlanta-based real estate firm.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Cushman & Wakefield is a full-service global commercial real estate company with more than a century of experience, 52,000 professionals, and 400 offices worldwide.

TENANT CARE

Piedmont Center’s tenant care initiative aims to prioritize the workplace enjoyment and satisfaction of tenants by offering a robust events calendar and a management staff dedicated to the highest level of customer service. The primary purpose is to foster an energetic and supportive work environment that enhances tenant experience and fosters long-term, positive tenant relationships. Piedmont Center places a focus on addressing the needs and preferences of tenants and being proactive to reduce negative impact.

Inter-tenant relationships can increase employee satisfaction and business productivity.  Thus, Piedmont Center maintains a goal of creating a sense of community within the property through events programs, multiple communal areas, and by facilitating opportunities for tenants to connect with one another. Additionally, Piedmont Center recognizes the importance of maintaining the property at the highest level. This is done by keeping all systems and buildings functioning optimally, focusing on preventative maintenance, and regulations for safety are followed.

“Our initiative stands out for its forward-thinking approach, integrating various aspects of tenant care to create a truly supportive and enriching workplace,” said Emily Baker, Tenant Engagement Manager at Piedmont Center. “The emphasis on grade A service and community engagement sets us apart, ensuring that tenants not only have their needs met but also feel valued and connected within their work community.”

The events program developed for Piedmont Center focuses on personalization, technology integration, collaboration, interactive and experiential events, and going beyond traditional events. Events are tailored to the specific interests of the tenants and neighborhood to increase value and enhance connectivity. Piedmont Center holds its annual Masters Event where putting greens, chip shot games, food, and more are available to give a Masters experience. Additionally, the property has hosted bike challenges and collaborated with the Buckhead Community Improvement District for walking challenges.

Piedmont Center also partnered with Cove to create a property app that all tenants can use. This provides efficient means of communication and ease of access to events and property information such as amenities, food options, and more. Additionally, the property’s work order system is accessible through Cove so that tenants have a simple means of notifying the management and engineering teams of issues, concerns, or general information. The team has worked hard to develop collaborative relationships with property vendors and tenants to enhance the unique advantages to being a tenant at Piedmont Center.

Of the 196 tenants at Piedmont Center, 57% of them have been a tenant for more than five years and 16% for more than a decade. Most of Piedmont Center’s engagement programs are centered around philanthropy and wellness. Throughout the year, the property hosts food drives, school supply drives, charity cornhole tournament, care package events to support our troops and sponsorship of foster children’s Christmas lists. They support tenant’s wellness goals by maintaining four fitness centers on property with towel service and compliment toiletries for their daily workouts.

Through its exceptional tenant appreciation initiatives, Piedmont Center, managed by Cushman & Wakefield, has received the 2024 Excellence in Tenant Care Award from CRE Insight Journal.
