The CRE Insight Journal Excellence Awards celebrate excellence in commercial real estate companies and properties. Insight from award winning entrants will be shared with the CRE Insight Journal community to inspire positive change within the real estate industry.

Properties may apply to be recognized for Excellence in Tenant Care; Excellence in Adaptive Reuse; Excellence in Environmental Sustainability; and/or Excellence in Collaborative Service.

Award Categories

Excellence in Tenant Care

This award recognizes a property for excellence in tenant care, including health and wellbeing, communications, tenant engagement, and/or other activities that express care for building tenants.

Excellence in Environmental Sustainability

This award recognizes a property that has recently undertaken significant environmental sustainability efforts and/or has achieved long-term success in environmental sustainability. This may represent a single building or a building complex.

Excellence in Adaptive Reuse

This award recognizes a property that has recently undertaken significant renovation and/or redevelopment to adapt its former use to a new use. This may represent a single building or a building complex.

Excellence in Collaborative Service

This award recognizes an exemplary partnership between a property and a product or service provider partner. Building management teams and product/service providers often collaborate to improve operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, tenant care, and more. This award recognizes excellence in this type of collaboration and requires confirmation of entry from both the property and the product or service provider partner.

Judging Criteria:

Award submissions may include accomplishments in 2026 or 2027.

Answers to each question on the submission form are scored by a panel of nationally recognized real estate industry leaders on a scale of 1 to 10. The entrant with the highest total score shall be deemed the winner. In the event of a tie, the CRE Insight Journal Editor-in-Chief shall make the final decision.

The intent to enter and application submissions must both be completed by the deadline listed above.

Upon submission of an application, applicants agree to the following: All information provided in the submitted application is truthful and accurate. In the event of winning an award, entrants to complete further interviews, which will be used in conjunction with promotion of the award winner. Award entrants provide CRE Insight Journal permission to publish, digitally, in print, and/or through social media, and in any other form, any aspects of the application including but not limited to, photographs, responses to application questions, uploaded attachments, general applicant information, and any other items submitted in conjunction with the award entry.
