The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is rolling out optional Multi-Factor Authentication for all Portfolio Manager® users on Oct. 15, 2024.

What You Need to Know

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource, such as a software tool like Portfolio Manager. The EPA now offers MFA as an optional Portfolio Manager login method using Login.gov as the authenticator application.

The standard login method with your Portfolio Manager username and password will remain the default for all users, but those looking for additional account authentication will be able to opt-in to using MFA in their Account Settings.

Additional Information

New FAQ and MFA User Guide with step-by-step instructions now available.
