In this video, infectious disease expert Kim Delahanty outlines the practice of physical distancing and its effectiveness in slowing the spread of diseases like the COVID-19 virus. Delahanty shares practical advice on how the public can incorporate these practices into their day-to-day while remaining socially connected and caring for loved ones. This video was produced in partnership with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). Delahanty is an APIC Fellow, past board member of the national chapter, as well as the local San Diego chapter of APIC. With over 25 years of experience in the field, she is currently serving as an Infection, Prevention and Control Manager for Doctors Without Borders.
