Lina Perez with JLL in Atlanta, Georgia, has been selected by CRE Insight Journal as one of the 10 to Watch in commercial real estate. The CRE Insight Journal 10 to Watch program recognizes top early-career professionals who are shaping the future of the industry through innovation, engagement, and leadership in property management and development.
At JLL, Lina serves as Property Manager for The Pinnacle and Northyards, two Class A properties in Atlanta totaling approximately 700,000 square feet. She focuses on value enhancement, asset optimization, exemplary customer service, and team development.
“I am committed to fostering collaboration, driving operational excellence, and leading by example to support both our clients and teams,” Lina said.
Her responsibilities include financial reporting, streamlining accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, optimizing technology use, supervising multi-million-dollar capital projects and renovations, and cultivating strong service partner relationships. This position has allowed Lina to grow as a leader and drive success for clients and tenants while fostering a culture of excellence with the organization.
Prior to her current role, Lina spent nearly seven years at Cushman & Wakefield, as first a Property Administrator, before being promoted to Assistant Property Manager, and then Property Manager. During her tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, she managed a diverse portfolio of seven properties totaling approximately 1.3 million square feet of mixed-use, Class A office buildings, and adaptive reuse developments. She oversaw spec suite buildouts, significant roof replacements, façade restorations, and common area renovations. Lina has also led sustainability initiatives, helping clients achieve FITWEL, LEED, and ENERGY STAR certifications.
“Working on pre-construction and adaptive reuse projects has allowed me to contribute to Atlanta’s growth while creating spaces that tenants and communities value,” Lina said.
Lina has been recognized for her leadership and contributions throughout her career. She received the Rising Star award at Cushman & Wakefield and JLL during her first year with each company. At JLL, she was selected for the company’s Young Guns Class of 2024, and she also received the Going Beyond Star Award and participated in global training programs for future leaders at JLL.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Lina actively volunteers with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Georgia, serving as Vice Chair of the BOMA Georgia Emerging Professionals Resource Group. She hosts panels and networking events to connect emerging CRE professionals with industry leaders. In addition, Lina and her husband launched SAUCE SERVES, a community service initiative providing meals and care kits to Atlanta neighbors in need.
“Looking ahead, I am committed to making intentional and positive impacts through volunteer activities in our ever-growing city of Atlanta,” Lina said.
Lina sees commercial real estate as a vehicle for positive change in communities, people’s lives, and the environment.
“By revitalizing historic buildings, embracing sustainability initiatives, and investing in thoughtful development, we can create spaces that honor the past while shaping a better future for everyone,” Lina said.
