John Lawrence with JLL in Greater London, England, has been selected by CRE Insight Journal as one of the 10 to Watch in commercial real estate. The CRE Insight Journal 10 to Watch program recognizes top early-career professionals who are shaping the future of the industry through innovation, engagement, and leadership in commercial real estate technology.
At JLL, John serves as Senior Director of Technology Sales, driving revenue and client growth through technology solutions, technology services, and professional services.
“Taking a strategic approach to advising clients on how to leverage JLL’s technology allows us to strengthen relationships and create long-term partnerships,” John said.
His expertise in CRE technology enables him to match client needs with appropriate solutions, supporting business growth and innovation across the commercial real estate sector.
Prior to joining JLL, John held roles including Business Development Director at Shared Access, Client Account Manager at Landmark, Head of Sales at Supercard Worldwide, and United Kingdom Sales Manager at Virgin Pure. These experiences built his foundation in strategic client advisory, sales leadership, and business development.
“Each role gave me unique insights into how technology can transform real estate operations and drive measurable results,” John said.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, John contributes to his community through volunteer work. Twice a week, he coaches young footballers aged 5-7, developing not only their athletic skills but also teamwork, discipline, and confidence. He also volunteers at a local food bank, helping organize, prepare, and distribute meals to those in need.
“These experiences have been profoundly rewarding, teaching me valuable lessons about community, empathy, and the power of collective action,” John said. “They’ve reinforced my belief in the importance of giving back and have motivated me to continue seeking ways to positively impact my community.”
John sees the commercial real estate industry as a platform for positive impact on people, communities, and the environment.
“By embracing innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility, CRE can create spaces that enhance quality of life, foster community connection, and support a healthier planet,” John said.
He is particularly passionate about integrating smart building technologies, green practices, and data-driven solutions to drive long-term, meaningful change.
