The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International is offering a resource for industrial real estate professionals to assist in evaluating and implementing proactive maintenance strategies for the properties they own and manage. Proactive Maintenance Guidebook for Industrial Properties is a 201-page publication that provides resources ranging from reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance; setting up a maintenance program; maintenance costs and capital planning; managing vacant space; and more.

“BOMA is committed to serving the unique needs of industrial real estate professionals,” says Gabriel Eckert, FASAE, CAE, BOMA Georgia Chief Executive Officer. “BOMA International continues to produce high-quality resources, standards, and other industrial real estate resources. And on the local level, BOMA associations through the United States and beyond are providing dynamic educational and networking opportunities designed specifically for industrial real estate owners, managers, and operators. This vast range of programs, products, and services positions BOMA as the preferred association partner for industrial real estate professionals.”

In addition to the maintenance guidebook, last year BOMA International released an updated version of its Industrial Real Estate Measurement Standard. The standard is designed for use with industrial and flex buildings and their associated structures and may be applied to single tenant, multi-tenant, and multi-building configurations.
