The safety of building occupants during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a top priority for property professionals. As tenants and customers begin to return to buildings aver the next few months, there will be several new considerations for building operations and new challenges with concerns to safety. This is why BOMA International has partnered with global engineering and professional services firm Jacobs to create a guide that helps property professionals navigate this new experience.

The Improving Occupant Safety Inside Buildings Guide does not provide a step-by-step plan for re-occupancy, because no plan can cover the needs of every individual building. Rather, this guide serves as a reference and a jumping-off point for property professionals.  It provides resources to guide decision-makers through the process and determine which technologies and strategies work best for their property.

This guide is meant to grow with the professionals as the COVID-19 pandemic continues and evolves. Hopefully, this guide can be used to maximize occupant health and safety and mitigate risk.
