Conference Agenda (May 19, 2026)

8:30 – 9:00 Check-in and Registration

9:00 – 9:45 Getting Clarity in a Complicated World

Based on his most recent book, “Minute to Meaning: Find Your Life Purpose in 60 Seconds by Answering One Simple Question,” Andy Christiansen, CEO of Leadership by Design, will inspire you to find a clear purpose in all that you do. In a world of distractions, feeling stressed, anxious, and uncertain about your future is easy. Don’t let another year (or decade) pass by without finding the clarity you need for life and work. You’ll learn how to turn intention into action, silence your self-doubt, and align your daily life with what matters most.

9:45 – 10:30 The Economic Climate and the Future of CRE

Gain insight into the economic forces shaping our economy and the future of commercial real estate and how market trends may impact investment, operations, and long-term strategy. This session, led by Roger Tutterow, Director of the Econometric Project and Kennesaw State University Professor of Economics, explores key economic indicators, interest rate dynamics, labor trends, and demographic shifts, and how these factors may affect decision-making in the CRE industry.

10:30 – 10:45 Break

10:45 – 11:30 Cybersecurity and Physical Security for CRE Properties

As smart buildings become increasingly connected, system integrators play a growing role in operational resilience and cybersecurity. This session explores how asset owners, property managers, and facility leaders can shift their expectations of system integrators from traditional service vendors to strategic risk partners. Based on a six-part industry series, the discussion will highlight common gaps in cybersecurity ownership, characteristics of mature integrators, and practical ways to strengthen collaboration around building system risk. Attendees will leave with actionable insights to better evaluate integrators, improve project outcomes, and support more resilient, secure, and reliable building operations in today’s connected facility environment.

11:30 – 12:15  Lunch

12:15 – 1:15 PropTech and AI: Transforming how CRE Operates

Explore the latest property technology trends and how artificial intelligence is shaping the operation and management of CRE properties. You’ll learn the latest about smart building systems, AI-driven predictive maintenance, energy management, how to enhance the tenant experience and tenant engagement, and more.

1:15 – 1:55 CRE Market Dynamics, Development Trends, and Impact of AI

This interactive session will explore the evolving realities shaping commercial real estate. Panelists will discuss the long-term impact of work-from-home trends on office leasing, including ongoing uncertainty surrounding tenant space needs, flexibility expectations, and lease structures. The conversation will also address rising construction and tenant improvement costs, the growing pressure on landlords to fund capital upgrades, and how these financial challenges are reshaping negotiations, investor expectations, and redevelopment strategies. Attendees will also gain insight into current adaptive reuse of aging office properties, senior housing demand, and residential redevelopment trends. And the session will share real-world examples of how AI is being incorporated into day-to-day business activities and emerging conversations taking place across the industry.

1:55 – 2:00 Closing Announcements

2:00 – 3:00 Relationship-Building Reception
